I can actually configure it to load with an emulator but the breakpoints I set say “The breakpoint will not currently be hit. No symbols have been loaded for this document”.
In order to debug you need a visual studio gdb plugin and an emulator which supports it or hardware which can do debug comms. Currently only the Desmume works for emulators and no reliable hardware device is available.
http://www.wingdb.com/ is the debugger plugin but i have not tried it in quite some time and plugins only work on the non-free versions of visual studio.
I have installed it, got it to compile some code etc. But I am unable to debug any GBA or NDS apps. Any hints?
